What happened
In May 2023, FreeCycle, a nonprofit organization, suffered a data breach that resulted in the exposure of email addresses, hashed passwords, and usernames of over 2.5 million users. The breach was detected and reported by FreeCycle on August 30, 2023, when they notified their users about the incident.
