In January 2019, the game portal website ArmorGames.com experienced a data breach that exposed a substantial amount of user data. The breach compromised over 11 million records including email addresses, usernames, hashed passwords, IP addresses, and full birthdates. Passwords were stored as salted SHA-1 hashes, and other sensitive information such as geographic locations and a variety of social connections were also affected.
